STELLA MARIS EXPANDS INTAKE HOURS TO INCREASE ACCESS TO ADDICTION TREATMENT

Walk-Ins Welcome Until 6pm Daily

CLEVELAND, OH (06-08-26) — Stella Maris (Stella), a leading provider of addiction treatment and recovery services, has expanded its intake hours to better serve individuals seeking help for substance use disorders. As of June 1, 2026 Stella accepts walk-in assessments until 6pm daily, extending the previous last walk-in time of 2pm.

The change reflects a simple but important reality: when someone struggling with addiction decides they are ready to seek help, that moment is critical.

"Addiction doesn't keep business hours, and neither does the decision to seek help," said Christine Robinson, CEO. "We want our doors to be open when someone is ready to take that first step toward recovery. By extending our detox admissions hours, we hope to reduce the barrier of delay. This extension of hours is just another step on our journey to providing 24-hour access to care, ensuring help is available when people need it most."

Research and experience show that delays between a person's decision to seek treatment and their ability to access services can impact whether they follow through with getting help. By offering additional walk-in hours, Stella Maris aims to meet people where they are and provide timely access to care and support.

The expanded hours are part of Stella Maris' ongoing commitment to ensuring individuals and families affected by substance use disorders can access compassionate, evidence-based treatment when they need it most.

Individuals seeking treatment may walk in to Stella's Central Intake for help until 6pm.

Central Intake is located at 1320 Washington, Ave, Cleveland, OH 44113.

After 6pm, individuals seeking treatment are encouraged to call 216-781-0550 for a phone screening and next morning appointment.
